Have you ever wanted to visit the Sunshine State? Florida is a great destination state for travel nurses and all the summer festivities have already begun this year.
When checking today I see jobs available all across the beautiful state of Florida from Miami at the southern tip to Pensacola at the very western edge in the panhandle and everything in between. Daytona Beach, Orlando, Punta Gorda, Tallahassee, Ft Lauderdale, Ft Myers, Boynton Beach, St Pete and Gainesville, just to name a few.
There are so many beautiful things to see and do in Florida. Take it from me, a Florida native. I've lived here all of my 50 plus years and have yet to explore all the cool stuff in Florida. But I have done lots of camping, hiking, star gazing and kayaking in the beautiful Ocala National Forest at several of the natural springs there. The cover picture above is one I took at Blue Springs, located in western Volusia County, Florida when the manatees came in to the natural spring during winter. They migrate into the spring water which is warmer in the winter (72 degrees year round) than the river where they live for the rest of the year. And this is just one of the many natural springs where you can snorkel, swim, kayak and explore the beautiful crystal clear water and observe all the wildlife. Most of these parks have nature trails to explore as well.
Florida has a wide variety of great adventures, depending on what you are looking for. Of course, we have all the amazing theme parks southwest of Orlando, in the center of the state, Disney, Universal Studios, and much more. We have big cities like Orlando, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and more and all that they have to offer including national sporting events and entertainment and even broadway plays. We have lots of backwoods camping and hiking opportunities and just about everything in between.
