Nursing in a Flash – 4700 study questions converted to flash cards
Med Mnemonics – to help you with medical terminology
NCSBN Flashcard App – puts a medication library on your phone

As you can see from this short list there is an app for whatever you need today. Some are free and some can cost from 99 cents to $39.99. Most often you can preview the ones that are costly and see if you can utilize before spending the money. Travel nurses and traveling healthcare professionals have so many great tools easily accessible in today's healthcare industry. A lot of these apps once downloaded do not require internet access to use them which is a bonus I would think.
