Calling all Speech Language Pathologists who would like to begin their travel adventures in the new year. SLP's are in high demand across the country and HCEN is now accepting Therapist applicants who are ready to start their travel careers.
The SLP is a professional who is concerned with the evaluation, treatment and researches human communication and the disorders associated with it. The Speech Language Pathologist will design and implement comprehensive treatment plans to achieve:
-Assisting the patient to develop proper control of the respiratory and vocal systems for correct voice production.
-Assisting the patient to learn correct production and use of speech sounds.
-Help children and adolescents with language and speech problems, such as giving and understanding directions, asking and answering questions, conveying ideas to others and using appropriate social language.
-Help patients who stutter to speak more fluently and teach them coping skills to cope with the disorder.
-Help patients who have suffered from strokes or other brain trauma to re-learn language and speech skills.
-Educate and counsel patients with speech and language disorders and their families to help them understand the disorders and how to communicate more effectively.
There are SLP travel job assignments available in cities large and small across the US. Here are a few of the opportunities available this week for Speech Language Pathologists.
In California we see jobs listed in Mission Viejo, Duarte, Glendale, Auburn, Fresno, Chino, San Diego, San Francisco and so many more.
You can check out California travel jobs for SLP's here.
Florida jobs available this week included facilities looking for Speech Language Pathologists in Palm Coast, Pensacola, Kissimmee (right outside Orlando), Jacksonville and just about every part of the beautiful Sunshine State. Here's a link to the Florida jobs available now.
And, yes I even found listings for SLP jobs in Hawaii. I don't know about you but I've always wanted to visit Hawaii. Honolulu, Hilo, Maui and Kaunakakai were just a few of the cities I see listings for available travel assignments.
Or, how about a trip to New York next summer and catch some theatre, do some shopping in the Big Apple or maybe even check out Niagara Falls. That sounds like a great idea to me. Listings are showing jobs all around the metropolitan area as well as outlying cities and towns.
And I've also always wanted to visit Big Sky, Montana. I have never traveled in the west and the big beautiful vastness of Montana sure looks interesting if you want to get away from the big city. Billings, Bigfork, Laurel, Libby, Kalispell all sound like interesting places to start a great western adventure.
So there are just a few of the many jobs available. Click here if you would like to fill out our Request For More Info form and we can help you get started on your first or next adventure as a professional healthcare traveler.
