Have you ever been to New Orleans, Louisiana? It is one of my favorite places to visit. There is so much history and the music….oh, the music. I am a music lover and the music found in New Orleans is incomparable. And, of course, there are facilities all around the area that are always in need of travel nurses and professional healthcare travelers.
New Orleans is one of the oldest cities in the USA and has so much history and culture if you care to learn and/or explore. This year they are celebrating their tricentennial, 300 years! From haunted mansions to "cities of the dead" that date back into the 1600's, it is truly an incredible place. Home to the #2 museum in the world, The World War II Campus, is located right in the center of town and easily accessible. There are a couple of steamboat cruises available on a daily basis complete with narration and also a ferry that goes across Lake Pontchartrain to the residential area of Algiers.
New Orleans is an eclectic mix of neighborhoods - from the funky, bohemian Bywater all the way to the oak-lined Garden District. There's something for everyone, in each part of town, whether you're seeking authentic live music, historic (and quite photogenic) architecture, or a vibrant nightlife scene.
There are lots of great medical facilities in the area including: Ochsner Medical Center, East Jefferson General Hospital, Tulane Medical Center, St. Charles Surgical Hospital, St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Childrens Hospital and many more.
