My momma always said, Learn everything you can. That has served me well over the years. Anything that I had access to and wanted to learn about, I have pursued and taught myself. With the internet, the availability of information has grown exponentially and now anything you ever wanted to know, plus a lot you don't, can be researched in depth as long as you have internet access. In today's world the majority of us have that access right in our pockets, via our smart phones. Technology is amazing and has brought us so far and has the capability, of course, to help us all improve and educate ourselves.
As a traveling healthcare professional, learning is part of the process every day. Being in a new location, new job, with new people and new opportunities, new places to explore, and so much to learn, are some of the benefits of being a healthcare traveler. In fact, many travelers say that is one of the main reasons for traveling, to expand your horizons, in all ways, career and personal. Travel will help you grow in so many ways.
You can literally pursue anything you wish to learn about via the internet with online classes available that allow you to work on your schedule and at your own pace. Of course, if you want to take the traditional route, you can always find local programs in many hospitals, facilities and/or colleges around your location. Just ask your coworkers for suggestions if you are on assignment in unfamiliar territory.
Never stop learning. We wish you the best of luck in all your pursuits!
