Los Angeles, the city of Angels, was founded in September of 1781. It has since grown into a dynamic metropolis looking to the future but still preserving its extraordinary cultural heritage. It is truly a global city and is known as one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. With over 200 sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places, there is plenty of exploring available for the history buff.
Of course, Los Angeles has a long history with music, literature, TV and film. LA is home to more museums and theaters than any city in the US and a booming gallery and music scene. There are monthly art walks that take place around the city. LA truly is the entertainment capital of the world.
The landscape in this beautiful city in California is filled with architectural masterpieces and lush gardens. The Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Getty Center, Broad Contemporary Art Museum, Hollyhock House and so many more beautiful architectural designs can be found here as well. There are many oases to explore like the Huntington Library, Exposition Park's Rose Garden and the Descano Gardens, just to name a few.
And, of course, Travel nurses and healthcare professionals will find lots of available jobs in the area as major medical facilities are abundant. When searching the area I found over a hundred hospital facilities in Los Angeles County and so many travel assignments available too.
Ever had an urge to go to LA and hang out with the stars? Maybe it's time.
