Just say No to PPI drugs

Just say No to PPI drugs

Proton Pump Inhibitors drugs are one of the most commonly prescribed drugs in today's medical industry and represent sales to Big Pharma of over $10 billion annually.

It has been clinically proven that something as simple as drinking more water reduces stomach acid more than these drugs and of course does so without the terrible side effects.

The PPI drugs work by making the stomach pH above the normal range and inhibits the secretion of pepsin, a digestive enzyme. This will effectively block the secretion of normal, healthy enzymes and impair the digestive function long term. This can allow harmful molds, viruses and bacteria that may be present in our food to get into our bloodstream because there is insufficient enzymes to protect you.

There are so many side effects associated with the use of these prescription drugs yet they continue to be prescribed daily to thousands of users. Short time side effects of these drugs are: headaches, fever or cold symptoms, infection, cognitive impairment, skin rashes, and digestive disturbances including diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, constipation and more.

It has been found that PPIs inhibit acid production in the total body, not just the stomach. This can and will disrupt the body's ability to break down waste materials. Damaging effects of aging may be accelerated and there is cellular damage after long term use of these drugs.

These drugs were originally approved for short term use only but once you have started taking them you get used to them and feel that you cannot do without them. These drugs can lead to kidney disease, increased risk of heart disease, diminished brain function, digestive disorders and even increase your risk of premature death.

I personally got my elderly mother off of these drugs when she moved in with me by replacing them with pure aloe juice.

There are many alternatives to these damaging drugs but of course changing your diet and lifestyle is too much to ask many Americans. Sad, but true, Big Pharma only wants your money, not your long term health. Think again before popping that purple pill.
