Weekend getaways can vary depending on what part of the state you are in and how far you are willing to drive.
In the panhandle there are beautiful beaches, natural springs and even some caverns can be found within a few hours or less from the major markets like Pensacola, Ft Walton Beach, Panama City and Tallahassee.

South Florida is a huge metropolitan area as well. Ft Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Miami, West Palm Beach and Key West are all major markets for travel nurses and will also give a great jumping off place to visit some of Florida's treasures down south. The Everglades, the Big Cypress National Preserve, Kissimmee Prairie Preserve (a certified dark sky area which is great for stargazing and meteor watching, and so much more. Of course, the wildlife is abundant in all of these areas if you like to see animals in their natural habitats.
