5 Great States for 2016 Travel Nursing Jobs

One of the best things about Travel Nursing is being able to see the country as you work by visiting so many of its great 50 states! But with so many options, it can be hard to choose where to go first, or next if you're already traveling. (Hey, that's not a bad problem to have at all!)

As 2016 sets sail, where do you want to go?

Travel Nursing Blogs is currently crushing on several awesome locations. Read on to learn more about these 5 great states for 2016 Travel Nursing jobs.

Texas

They say everything is bigger and better in Texas, and that goes for Travel Nursing jobs too! Texas has tons of options in terms of jobs and locations, and it's a wonderful place to escape the extreme cold of winter up north. From The Alamo in San Antonio to the Space Center Museum in Houston to several national parks and preserves, there's tons to learn, do, and see in Texas. Tex Mex and BBQ may rule the state's cuisine scene, but its many large cities also have world-class eats of all kinds. Not to mention pro sports, shopping, museums, and more. In terms of terrain, Texas has a bit of everything — deserts, pine forests, beaches, and more! The gorgeous Gulf Coast is a popular attraction for its abundant availability of relaxation, water sports, and everything in between. So, will you mess with Texas in 2016?

California

Like Texas, California offers warm weather and ample variety for Travel Nurses. Southern Cali has beaches and beachy vibes galore. If you want to escape the chill of winter, this is a perfect state to do so. On the other hand, you can just head north to hit the slopes. San Francisco offers treats like the Golden Gate Bridge, LA houses Hollywood excitement, and Napa Valley brings it bigtime with the vino. National parks are in their prime, with Sequoia, Yosemite, and Redwood. California's many amazing facilities and sheer size offer tons of job choices for Travel Nurses, so you can choose your own adventure. And I almost forgot, the "happiest place on Earth" is here, which may make you want to answer questions about your next assignment by saying, "Now I'm going to Disneyland!"

Georgia

This state is a real peach for Travel Nurses! Experience true Southern hospitality, sweet tea, soul food and so much more here. Atlanta and many other locations throughout the state are stacked with excellent facilities and that have tons of Travel Nursing jobs. History, warm temps, and attractions set Georgia apart. Here you can visit sites like the World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, and more. Stone Mountain Park is a one-of-a kind experience that's fun for all seasons. Get steamy in Hotlanta, spooky in Savannah, and magical in Macon!

Washington

The Evergreen State is known mainly for its gorgeous natural landscapes, although it also has several amazing urban centers such as Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, and others. Seattle is best known for its great music and art offerings, parks and outdoors activities, year-round green hue, and, of course, every nurse's favorite — coffee! When it comes to landmarks, the Space Needle and Pike Place Market are likely the most famous — and for good reason, they are both amazing. You will never run out of things to do and see in this vibrant city, but you should also make time to venture out of the city for some hiking and outdoors adventures, perhaps even visiting Mount Rainier, which watches over the Emerald City of Seattle.

New York

Start spreading the news, New York is an amazing place to take a Travel Nursing assignment! Whether you're in an upstate state of mind or you'd like to take a big bite out of The Big Apple, New York has endless opportunities for you. NYC offers world-class culture, shopping, dining, pro sports, and so much more. Whether you want to kick back in Central Park and chill like a local or you prefer to get touristy and visit the Statue of Liberty, Broadway, The Empire State Building, Times Square (I could go on and on and on …), or other such NYC originals, this city will show you a great time. Calmer, less concrete-laden vibes prevail upstate and you can enjoy the state's natural beauty in popular nature's hot spots like the Adirondacks and many others.
